Ain't been this embarrassed for my country since then President Clinton told IWB (intern with benefits) Monica that 'foreign embassies' might be listening in on their dozen or so phone-sex sessions, according the rather infamous Independent Counsel Report. POTUS advised young 'Ms. Lewinsky' that should anyone inquire about same, to just say they were 'kiddin' around.

Boris Yeltsin and certain members the IDF's Unit 8200 were definitely 'chuckling' when the above advice was rendered public in the 1998 Starr Report. Yeltsin boasted in his memoirs about how he knew all about the IWB 'long' before said publicity ensued.

Investigation Into General Narrows Look at E-Mail

WASHINGTON — Two and a half weeks after Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta announced an inquiry into e-mail exchanges between Gen. John R. Allen of the Marines and a socialite in Tampa, Fla., some 15 investigators working seven days a week in the Pentagon inspector general’s office have narrowed their focus to 60 to 70 e-mails that “bear a fair amount of scrutiny,” a defense official said…

[Jill Kelley] wrote to [Tampa Mayor Bob] Buckhorn that “I just got off the phone with Gen. Allen.” The next day she let him know that she was working to prevent a local D.J. from carrying out his threat to deep-fry a Koran on the air.

 

“I have Petraeus & Allen both emailing me about getting this dealt with,” she wrote on March 7. She told the mayor she had also been involved in the effort to prevent a Florida pastor from burning a Koran in 2011.>

The 'Holy' Qu'ran has no power. Muslims believe the Koran should be respected and obeyed because you will be cursed with sickness or death by God himself otherwise. Since our first Koran Burn event, the name "Terry Jones" has become a common part of the discussion across the world among Muslims and non-Muslims. If the Koran is so 'holy' and has the power to take revenge on those that disrespect it, why is Terry Jones alive and well?

This is one spiritual reason we were joined by Afghan ex-Muslims living in exile in Asia in the burning of a Koran. They want to share the same testimony with Muslims. They burned the Koran, they were not harmed, the Koran has no power. They also agreed with our protest as a political statement. In Afghanistan, as in Iran where Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani awaits possible execution, Christians are regularly jailed, tortured and killed, simply for their faith. Islam produces spiritual and political violence and oppression.

Our event, located on the familiar field to the west of Dove World Outreach Center was openly supported by 30 people. Several had driven from towns in Georgia and Florida to join our church. Across 37th Street, in the quiet Mile Run neighborhood many people, police and reporters stood or sat in cars and watched from a distance. There may have been 100 witnesses to the burn in all.

Today at 8:45am ET, General John R. Allen, Commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and the U.S. Forces Afghanistan (USFOR-A) called Dr Terry Jones.  General Allen expressed his fear of retaliation against the US Military in Afghanistan if we carry on with our plans for April 28th.

Dr Terry Jones responded with his larger concerns for the situation in Islamic countries such as Egypt and Iran where Christians are being killed on a regular basis, houses and churches are burned, girls are kidnapped, raped and forced into Islam.

“I am sure you are as aware as I am of the horrors of the religion,” said Dr Jones, “but Islam is killing people.” He pointed out that the military personnel willingly enlisted, are trained, armed and well funded. People like Pastor Youcef did not volunteer, are not armed, have no budget and no one to fight for them.

“By no means do we take this situation lightly. We are just as Christians, as human beings very desperate for some kind of relief for those people who die on a daily basis at the hands of radical Islam.”

Dr Jones stated that we would be willing to cancel or postpone the April 28th event if concrete steps could be made to bring change to the situation concerning human rights and freedom of religion in Islamic States. [emphasis added - US/2]

Terry Jones is Calling for a World Wide Burning of Korans and Images of the Prophet Muhammad on Saturday, APRIL 28th, 5pm ET, if Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani has not been released by that time.

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani has been imprisoned and faces execution in Iran simply for his Christian faith. His fate is in the hands of Ayatullah Haajj Sayyid Ali Khamenei and those that can influence the Iranian government to release him so that he can rejoin his family and freely practice his chosen religion. 

Islamic leaders and Islamic government officials around the world have been contacted and warned. They have an opportunity to use their connections and authority for good. 

The world of Islam must submit to Western demands for freedom of religion for Christians and other non-Muslims and freedom of speech concerning the oppressive and violent aspects of the ideology of Islam.
